Where Then Shall We Go?

Hi, I’m Caleb.

I’ve written about the topic of “deconstruction” of faith for years now. And now I want to counsel people wrestling with the same thing. This isn’t something I know from a cerebral only space; the questions, wonderings, and tears around deconstruction, church hurt, and all things between are near and dear to my heart. Before I got my Masters in Counseling, I wrote on this page my wonderings about all things related to God, His people, and what to do with this messy and beautiful thing called life.

And now, with your permission, I’d like to help you write your own self-narrative about God, His people, and what to do with this messy and beautiful thing called life.

Your life.

Let’s build again your story.

To retain what this blog initially was, I’ve listed several of my old writings on topics around spiritual wandering below. As many of you surely know, the word “deconstruction” has been abuzz both within the evangelical and exvangelical world for quite awhile now. As such, in my personal writing and conception of it, I opted for imagining faith as a “space voyage” (pardon the nerdy metaphor) wherein there are some places (theologies) that are “barren,” or, in other words, unhealthy and destructive, places (theologies) that are “fertile,” healthy and produce life, and then a list of core places (theologies) that have long existed, are considered orthodox, and have brought about hope for centuries and centuries.

As I stated back then I’ll state now; I genuinely hope these words on God make you feel better today.
