A Fantasy Detour Pt. 2
It seems any creative endeavor starts as overly ambitious. And then some day, one day, a day WAY, WAY, WAY down the road, that endeavor finally comes to fruition.
Today is not that day. Rather, this project is something I’ve spent a long time on and which I will spend a great deal more time on is in process. It is not complete, it is not done, it is not finished. But I’m not sure why it didn’t occur to me that I can’t include others, even the wild, wild internet, as I slowly chip away at my biggest and dearest to my heart project. It won’t be perfect, but I do hope it will mean something to some people out there.
The long and short of it is I want to write four books. I won’t disclose why, but four is the grand total. In this story, there’s a bazillion characters. Not really, but there are several dozen. It’s sprawling, it’s big, it’s layered, and, honestly, convoluted even for me. But the endings of these character arcs, the deaths of some important protagonists (and antagonists), and the final finale are visible there for me. It’s like I’ve written A-D of a 26 letter alphabet, and I am really hungering to see Y and Z but life gets in the way (and girls and trials and moving and COVID and 2020).
Anywho, I am going to include character scenes at a time. Basically, as an example, you will see Aden 1, Scene 3, which would mean it is the first scene of the character Aden but chronologically it is the third scene total. I will post a HUB blog with each scene as I post them, and I will post them chronologically. I’d say I’m about 70% done with book one (draft four or five, guys, this stuff is f&#%ing hard) but hey, frankly, I’m curious to see what people think. Tread lightly and truthfully. Find somewhere in the middle actually. First scene to be posted shortly…
